Farm to Dedicate Grandin-Designed Facility

When noted animal behaviorist Temple Grandin visited the Eastern Kentucky University campus in September 2011 to deliver a Chautauqua lecture, it set in motion a dramatic improvement at EKU’s Meadowbrook Farm.

Meadowbrook Hosts Annual 'Day at the Farm'

EKU Meadowbrook Farms hosted its annual “Day at the Farm” on March 30, 2017. Approximately 100 students from Wolfe County elementary schools attended; the children were in the third and fourth grades.

EKU's College of Business and Technology is pleased to announce Ms. Julia Niemann Barney as the 2017 Distinguished Senior. Each year, the College of Business and Technology selects a Distinguished Senior. This $1,000 award is given annually at the EKU Scholar's Assembly to the student judged by the Colleges’ department chairs to be the overall distinguished senior.

EKU Horticulture Students Participate in NCLC Competition

EKU Horticulture was in Provo, Utah, from March 19-22 for the 41st Annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC) at host school BYU-Provo. NCLC is an annual three-day competition and networking event for students enrolled in interior and exterior horticulture programs at two- and four-year colleges and universities from across the country.

EKU's Meadowbrook Farm along with Wolfe County Extension will host its annual “Day at the Farm” on March 30, 2017. Approximately 140 third and fourth graders will visit the farm for tours and activities led by EKU agriculture students. 

1st Annual Colonel Roundup Beef Show set for March 25th

EKU's Agricultural Honor Society, Delta Tau Alpha, is hosting its 1st Annual Colonel Roundup Beef Show on Saturday, March 25th. The event, to be held at the Madison County Fairgrounds, will award prizes for top beef in their category.

New Beef Handling Facility to be Dedicated April 21st

EKU Farms is pleased to announce that celebration of the completion of its new beef handling facility has a date has been set for Friday, April 21, 2017. The event will be held at EKU’s Meadowbrook Farm.
