Adams Selected as 2016 Distinguished Alum

EKU's Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce that Mr. Marcus Adams has been selected as their departmental distinguished alum for 2016.

Mr. Adams was honored during a presentation in April at the Department of Agriculture College to Careers senior seminar.

The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.

As a graduate of Lee County High School and alumni of Eastern Kentucky University, he has called Meade County home for over 11 years. He began his career with Meade County School district as an Agriculture Teacher at Meade County High School. In 2007, he earned his Masters in Education Administration at Western Kentucky University and has since completed additional certifications in the administration field. This is his seventh year as an administrator with Meade County Schools.

Adams and his wife have two sons and reside in Brandenburg. They enjoy traveling, visiting with family and friends, and spending time at home.

Congratulations Mr. Adams on being selected as the 2016 Distinguished Alum representing the Department of Agriculture.

The department also honored distinguished seniors for the year. Ms. Jocelyn McKay, an Agribusiness Management major from Spencer, Ind., was selected as the department's Distinguished Senior. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2015-16 academic year were recognized and honored for outstanding achievement.
