EKU Agriculture Now Offers a Master's in Agricultural Operations and Management

EKU agriculture students at Meadowbrook Farm

Graduates of agriculture and horticulture programs may now pursue a Master’s degree concentration in Agricultural Operations and Management.

This unique program combines hands-on agricultural experience with creative problem solving and agribusiness management.

The demand for graduates with an advanced degree in agriculture is growing! As in other fields, a Master's degree can open doors to upper-level management positions from marketing, finance and accounting to operations management.

These positions include:

  • Management of agricultural firms,
  • Food production or food services businesses,
  • Farming operations or land management companies.

A graduate degree provides more career options and higher salaries.

The 30-hour concentration was approved summer 2016 and is currently open for students as MS degree in Applied Engineering and Technology Management.
