Fraley named as 2014 AG distinguished senior

Benjamin Fraley

Mr. Benjamin Fraley has been named the 2014 Distinguished Senior for EKU's Department of Agriculture. He was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Agriculture College to Careers senior seminar.

The student is selected based on superior academic achievement, excellent leadership, citizenship, character and services to EKU.

Throughout his career at EKU, Benjamin has earned numerous honors and awards including the Presidential Scholarship. He plans to graduate in May with a BS in Agribusiness Management and Minor in Economics.

Highly engaged in academic matters, he serves on the Agriculture Department Social and Physical Environment Committee.

No stranger to hard work, Benjamin is the Operations Manager at 3B Farm in Berea where he managed, oversees, and cares for the cattle herd, breeding cows and calves to ensure their well-being throughout the year. His responsibilities include hay production and routine maintenance of farm operations. A second job as a customer service representative with Hogg Enterprises in Berea 'fills in the gaps'.

Congratulations to Benjamin Fraley on being selected as the 2014 distinguished senior representing the Department of Agriculture.

The department also honored Mr. Greg Harris, who was selected as the AG departmental distinguished alum. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2013-14 academic year were recognized and honored for outstanding achievement.
