Four Compete at Academic Quadrathlon

EKU Agriculture students are making their mark.

On February 3rd, four students traveled to Fort Worth, Tex., to compete in the Southern Regional American Society of Animal Science Academic Quadrathlon Competition. On the inaugural team were animal science, pre-veterinary, and horticulture students, accompanied by their faculty advisor, Dr. Andrea Sexten.

On January 16, 2018, two EKU Agriculture students, Kelsey Lainhart and Hannah Carper, shared their knowledge about Agnes Chase, a woman pioneering advances in science and women's suffrage. Kelsey is a senior Agronomy, Soils & Natural Resources major from Berry, Ky., while Hannah is a sophomore in Agribusiness Management from Shelbyville.

Eight of EKUs Agriculture Ambassadors joined 64,000 others in Indianapolis for a weekend full of career networking and program recruitment at the FFA Convention held October 24-26. Students hosted a booth at the convention, representing the Agriculture program here at EKU.
